In the summer of 2000, Linda Jennings and Maggie Murphy came together in a way that could only have been orchestrated by God Almighty Himself.

Linda, then assistant pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church, was on her way to an afternoon service. On the seat next to her were five copies of The Days of His Presence by Francis Frangipane. She had purchased them a week or so earlier with the intent of giving them away as the Lord led. As she drove, she heard the Lord say, "Give these books to each person sitting behind the pulpit."

As soon as it was Linda's turn to approach the pulpit, she began distributing the books. The first four recipients were men. They took the book and slightly nodded a polite, "Thank you." But the fifth person was a female and whom Linda had never seen before. Nonetheless, two destinies were about to collide.

When the unknown visitor received her book, she looked at the title, brought the book to her breast, and with a look of both love and gratitude, looked up and quietly whispered, "Thank you." That minister's name was Maggie Murphy.

The moment the eyes of these two women of God met, they both knew that God had just put them together for some purpose. What purpose? Neither had the slightest idea, and they wouldn't have the slightest idea for three full years.

During those three years of waiting, each would periodically call the other to remind them that they were loved and being thought of daily. They would then both admit that they still had not heard from God as to why He had put them together.

Finally, in 2003, Linda was vacuuming her living room carpet, when she heard the Lord say, "Tea with Maggie and Linda." She instantly knew the Lord was talking about television. She called Maggie and said, "It's time. The Lord's been talking to me." Maggie's response was immediate, "Yes. He's been talking to me, too."

The next day, they sat in the overstuffed chairs in Linda's bedroom in front of a light filled bay window. They talked and they prayed. They now knew the Father's will for them, and Tea with Maggie and Linda was born.

Their first studio was located in the poolroom of Ken and Jill Springer. That gracious couple removed all of their swimming gear from a small building located next to their swimming pool and turned it into a television studio. The room was no bigger than a very small bedroom and all production equipment was of the "home" variety. With much love and an absolute determination to do as God had instructed, five lovers of God produced a television show. The five included Maggie Murphy, Linda Jennings, Ken & Jill Springer and Tom Schatsberg, the sound man.

Eventually, Ron and Patty Gironda, the owners of PM Channel 10 on Charter Communications, offered to help bring "Tea" up a notch by shooting the show in their own studios. It was a gracious offer and Maggie and Linda remained in those studios for a number of months until it was decided to build their own.

Linda's husband, Tom, built their own studios in 2006. He is now their producer, cameraman and editor. It didn't take long before all knew that God had given Tom an extraordinary talent in all of those areas. Others, in both the church and business worlds, are now utilizing Tom's talents. "Tea", of course, remains his priority.

Tea with Maggie and Linda is completing its 4th year on the air. Maggie and Linda both agree, "It's an unbelievable blessing to be able to minister to God's people in this wonderful way. We are His servants and we continue to seek His perfect will for our lives."
